libiberty-dev software package provides library of utility functions used by GNU programs, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libiberty-dev
libiberty-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libiberty-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libiberty-dev *
You will get with libiberty-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
